  22. If you are using Win 3.1 and NOT Win 95, the only reason I can
  23. find for not hearing the sound is if you have the M) command in
  24. your modem set up string! (I use ATDT all of the time and all of
  25. the applilcations I run use ATDT but the only ones which use a
  26. string that includes the M0 command conenct with no sound.  If
  27. you dont use M0 and do not hear the connection you may have a
  28. defective modem!
